Meet Grace-Mary
Hello and welcome. I’m Grace-Mary, the modest fashionista behind In Her Layers.
Growing up, I was often the “picky one.” My family would bring me beautiful clothes, and I would gently say no, not out of ingratitude, but because I knew that if something didn’t feel like me, I simply wouldn’t wear it. Even then, I was learning to trust my instincts and choose what felt aligned.
Being a PK (pastor’s kid) deepened that instinct. It pushed me to think not just about what I liked, but about what
reflected my values. As I grew emotionally, spiritually, and personally, I became more intentional about how my faith could show up in what I wore.
Over time, I realized that getting dressed was never just about clothing. It became a way of expressing my identity, my values, and the person I am becoming.
In Her Layers exists at the intersection of faith, fashion, and identity, where style is not just about how you look, but how you live.
